ZOOMBIE BRAZIL SHAMBLES
Venom's Management have announced that Venom will not be appearing at the
Zoombie Ritual Festival in Brazil this coming 14 December 2014.
The bands Management stated: "we can empathise with the statement released by the
band Carcass about this event, as we are also still in the dark about many aspects of
this show. Our agent in South America has done everything in his power to facilitate
our requirements, but as the promoter in Brazil has not fulfilled his obligations, the
festival organisation is not suitable, and it is not possible for Venom to appear".
Venom would like to thank all their Legions in Brazil for their support, and the band
will be announcing other shows in South America in the near future.
FROM THE VERY DEPTHS COVER ART
VENOM announced the January 27th release of "From The Very Depths" (Spinefarm Records) last week, news that was met with elation among the metal community, from tastemakers to fans. The Metal icons, who are pretty much responsible for authoring their own genre, have followed up the album release news by sharing the two-horns-up album artwork.
The cover is visually arresting, featuring skeletal beings bathed in red and orange tones. The image is dominated by the instantly recognizable Venom logo, and is a natural successor to the artwork for previous album, 2011's "Fallen Angels", also released via Spinefarm. The album's accompanying music slays, and early praise indicates that this could be one of Venom’s best releases. Even the album title is 100 per cent ‘Venomous’, referencing the band’s infamous live intro tape. Screw the holiday season. January 27th can't get here fast enough. Songtitles include: "Eruptus", "From The Very Depths", "The Death Of Rock N Roll", "Smoke", "Temptation", "Stigmata Satanas", "Crucified", "Evil Law", "Grinding Teeth", "Ouverture", "Mephistopheles", "Wings Of Valkyrie" and "Rise".
RELEASEDATE OF THE NEW ALBUM
VENOM - the hugely influential British Heavy Metal trio widely revered for driving and shaping many aspects of the music industry, plus their instinctive blending of metallic power and Punk spirit - have confirmed the release of their new studio album, "From The Very Depths", for aJanuary 26th release via Spinefarm Records.
The band are led by vocalist / bassist and original VENOM titan, Cronos - who decided against making fans the world over wait too long for this powerful new 14-track release (the follow-up to 2011's "Fallen Angels", also issued via Spinefarm). So, VENOM will be unleashing their 14th studio album, on CD and download, on January 26th with a double vinyl format to follow shortly after.
Cronos says: "This album is perfect, all three members are totally over-the-top confident with the new songs and the production. We had a great atmosphere in the studio while we were recording, Dante created pure thunder from his drums, while Rage tears the flesh off your face with his riffs, making everything fall into place so well... It's a strong release and really shows the band maturing into an unstoppable force of pure Black Metal. We can't wait to play the new songs live for the Legions... Hell Yeah!"
Just as the aftermath of Christmas can be laced with reminders of gluttony and false cheer, VENOM will unleash a full-throttle, full-length LP to drag you even further into HELL. This is the heaviest Black fuckin' Metal and is not for wimps. Further details will be revealed shortly (naturally).
